Events, actions and field mapping
Start with file ID, name and folder ID. Preserve the original record identifier in the destination. Keep human-readable labels separate from stable keys so a renamed label does not create a second record. Choose one owner for each synchronized field and document which system wins when both sides change.

Operational checklist
Separate transient failures from validation errors. Retry temporary failures with increasing delays, but keep invalid files for review instead of resending them indefinitely. Store a redacted execution record with the source identifier, destination identifier and final status. Choose a retention window that fits your team policy.
